Kennedy Calls Obama 'New Generation of Leadership'

advertisement

Senator Edward M. Kennedy implored Americans on Monday to "reject the counsels of doubt and calculation," as he extended his endorsement and placed the aura of his family's name around the presidential candidacy of Senator Barack Obama.

"It is time again for a new generation of leadership," Mr. Kennedy said, speaking over a crowd of cheering supporters here at American University. "It is time now for Barack Obama."

Who's leading the conversation?
This visualization below allows you to see the impact that each user has on the current conversation. The top row contains the group of users who have had the most impact, the 2nd row the group of users who have had the 2nd most impact (et cetera). Users with similar impact are grouped together, and the average score of the group is shown to the left of the group. The author of the article is also shown on the left, in their corresponding group. Each user's score is based on the number of comments the user has made plus the number of votes their comments have received. The scores are calculated relative one another, so while their absolute value is not particularly important, their relative difference does indicate a larger difference in impact on the conversation.

We, too, want a president who appeals to the hopes of those who still believe in the American dream and those around the world who still believe in the American ideal and who can lift our spirits and make us believe again. I've found that candidate and I think you have, too.

without demonizing those who hold a different view

Sadly, Democrats have been all too often guilty of this, especially here on Newsvine. That some on the other side engage in the same is no excuse.

Wow. High praise from a highly respected man. To a highly respected man who is well deserving of such praise, in my humble opinion.

;)

Sadly, we have an overzealos candidate who wants to change American political landscape or history, a dream to have 'a family of husband and wife as Presidents after a failed scenario of father and son as Presidents of America.' What else do they want?
